A wrinkle is a crease, fold, or ridge on the skin. Wrinkles typically appear as a result of the aging. They are also caused by habitual facial expressions, aging, sun damage, poor hydration, smoking, and various other factors. Wrinkles are usually first seen around the mouth and around the eyes.
Dynamic wrinkles - those that result from movement - especially on the face can be treated with Xeomin, Dysport and Botox. Static Wrinkles (Those that are etched in the skin) may improve some with a botulinum toxin, but most likely will need dermal fillers as well and perhaps surgery. Laser Resurfacing can also help with "wrinkles".
